Terms of Service
Last updated October 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and meetppl (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your use of our website, apps and related services (the “Services”). By creating an account, opening an invite, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal information, and is part of these Terms.
1. Who can use meetppl
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using them, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you are able to enter into a binding agreement.
2. Accounts
Hosts sign in with an email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know right away at meetpplco@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it.
Guests may join a party through a personal invite link. Your link is meant for you — please don’t share it, since anyone who has it can respond as you.
3. Hosting parties
If you host a party on meetppl, you agree that:
- you will only invite people you have a reasonable basis to contact, and you will not use the Services to send spam;
- the details you post about your party are accurate, and the party itself is lawful;
- you are responsible for your event — including the venue, the safety of your guests, and following any laws, permits or rules that apply to it.
meetppl is a tool for organising and inviting. We do not organise, attend, supervise or control any party, and we are not responsible for what happens at one.
4. Matching and suggestions
meetppl may use your answers to its questions to suggest people you might get along with. These suggestions are for fun and are offered as-is. We don’t promise that any match will be accurate or that you will like anyone we suggest. Use your own judgment when meeting people, as you would anywhere else.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you add to meetppl — party details, photos, profile information, answers and messages (“Your Content”). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and process Your Content only as needed to run, improve and provide the Services. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where we need to keep it to comply with the law.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the right to share it, including any photos of other people.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against anyone;
- post content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or infringes others’ rights;
- use the Services to promote or organise illegal activity;
- collect other people’s information without their consent, or scrape the Services;
- interfere with or try to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other accounts, or our systems;
- use the Services for commercial advertising without our written permission.
We may remove content or restrict access when we believe these rules are broken.
7. Our service
The Services, including our name, logo, design and software, belong to meetppl and are protected by law. You may use them only as these Terms allow. We are a small team and may change, pause or stop parts of the Services at any time.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using meetppl at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing meetpplco@gmail.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or puts other people at risk. Sections 9 to 11 continue to apply after your use ends.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
We do not screen or vet hosts or guests, and we are not responsible for the conduct of anyone you meet through meetppl, online or in person.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, meetppl will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services or any party or meeting arranged through them. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100).
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold meetppl harmless from any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, a party you host, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we may also notify you by email or in the Services. If you keep using meetppl after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
