How It Works

1Create Your Event

Set the basics: date, time, location, and the kind of gathering you’re hosting—birthday party, club mixer, dinner, networking event, big/little matches, game night, or anything in between. Details of the party aren’t visible to guests until they RSVP.

Then choose how you want guests grouped, so meetppl knows who not to match together (because your best friend probably doesn’t need an introduction).

2Customize Your Matching Questionnaire

Choose how you want your guests to be matched. Use our default matching form, designed to curate thoughtful connections, customize our questions and response options to better fit your event, or create your own questions from scratch.

Hosting a founder dinner? Prioritize ambition, industry interests, and professional goals.
Throwing a birthday? Keep it fun, social, and personality-driven.

You set the tone – we’ll handle the matching.

3Send Out RSVPs

Invite your guests and watch the responses roll in. As guests RSVP, meetppl uses their responses to your questionnaire to create thoughtful, compatibility-based matches behind the scenes.

But the experience starts before the event. After RSVPing, each guest receives a short description of their unique “aura,” a personalized icon, and a countdown to the party—building anticipation for who they’ll meet.

No awkward spreadsheets, manual matching, or guesswork required.

4Generate Matches

Once your guest list is locked in, hit Run Matcher. meetppl creates intentional matches based on your guests’ responses, pairing people who are actually likely to click.

Want to play matchmaker? Drag and drop guests to rearrange matches however you like. meetppl will automatically regenerate each pair’s match title to reflect their new connection.

5Plan the Reveal

Build the anticipation before your matches are revealed. Each guest is assigned a personalized hint, visible only to the host and their match, plus a custom PIN and one chance to guess who they’ve been paired with. Choose when hints drop and when the final Match Reveal happens, giving guests a reason to mingle, compare clues, and figure out who their person might be.

Want to go analog? Take it offline with scavenger hunts, clue cards, assigned seating, icebreaker games, or hidden reveals—then schedule the official Match Reveal to drop on everyone’s devices at the exact same time.

Once matches are revealed, use them however fits your event: grab a drink together, sit together at dinner, team up for a game, or kick off a conversation with a prompt.
